Late last night for those on the east coast of the United States, the news dropped that FAYAT Group signed a definitive agreement with ST Engineering to acquire LeeBoy, the well-known U.S. manufacturer of road construction and maintenance equipment.

This move represents a strategic expansion for FAYAT, deepening its presence in the North American market and enhancing its global roadbuilding portfolio. It also marks a string of acquisitions in the industry over the last twelve months in addition to asphalt plant manufacturer Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) and Mecalac that build highly specialized and articulated dump trucks.

This now brings the total number of asphalt paver manufacturers owned by FAYAT Group to three: BOMAG, Dynapac, and now LeeBoy.

LeeBoy, based in the United States, is widely respected for its specialized machinery—ranging from pavers and compact motor graders to maintenance tools tailored for asphalt professionals. The acquisition aligns with FAYAT’s long-term vision of offering comprehensive, sustainable, and innovation-driven solutions across the full lifecycle of road construction.

The deal is pending standard regulatory approvals in the U.S., with final closing anticipated in Q4 2025.
