CHRYSO and GCP (Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals) has announced the addition of its proprietary EnviroMix Impact App to the company’s Curbing CO2 at the Source Program for Sustainability.
The EnviroMix Impact App is a tool used by the CHRYSO and GCP sales team to optimize the mix design approach and pre-quantify the embodied carbon results of customer’s concrete mixes. The calculator assists in pre-quantification of GWP. The app uses industry average data references for Scope A1 to A3 and allows for product specific environmental product declaration (EPD) data to produce reports for decision making.
“Through our sales, technical service, and regional application labs, we assist concrete producers in characterizing their materials and defining targets. This ultimately allows us, alongside our customers, to develop a mix design optimized not just for cost, but also CO2 reduction,” said CHRYSO & GCP Sustainability and customer engagement program manager Lisa Barnard. “The EnviroMix Impact App produces comprehensive reports to use as a decision-making tool to optimize the mix design strategy for a given application and performance requirements. The final output allows our customers to compare alternate mix designs against cost and CO2 impacts for the mixes, material, transportation, and water.”
The EnviroMix Impact App joins the solutions portfolio of the CHRYSO and GCP Curbing CO2 at the Source Program for Sustainability. The program’s team of sustainability experts help customers navigate the carbon neutrality journey throughout the concrete lifecycle. Through an on-demand EPD program, eco-innovation practices and solutions with a partnered approach, the Curbing CO2 at the Source Program for Sustainability provides concrete producers with products, tools, data, services and collaboration to develop sustainable concrete.
