Briggs & Stratton has announced the addition of HAINZL Motion & Drives as a new technology partner within its Vanguard commercial battery network. The collaboration broadens Vanguard’s reach across Central Europe and strengthens its presence in sectors adopting electrified power systems.

Based in Austria and marking its 60th year in operation, HAINZL specializes in drive and automation technologies for manufacturers in hydraulics, electrical systems and human-machine interfaces (HMI). With decades of experience in engineering and system integration, HAINZL serves a variety of industries including construction, agriculture, automotive and industrial machinery.

The new partnership enables HAINZL to integrate Vanguard’s battery systems into its solutions for mobile machinery and other applications. One recent project includes upgrading a concrete lintel production facility operated by M.A.H-Holzinger. In that installation, HAINZL replaced a diesel-hydraulic setup with a fully electric drive system powered by Vanguard battery packs, resulting in a quieter, cleaner and more efficient process.

The collaboration builds on existing connections between Vanguard and Technotrade, HAINZL’s Czech subsidiary and an established partner within the network. The experience and expertise from Technotrade will support HAINZL’s expanded role in electrification efforts across the region.

This partnership reflects a growing shift among equipment manufacturers toward electrification, driven by sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. By working together, Briggs & Stratton and HAINZL aim to offer integrated power solutions that meet the evolving needs of OEMs looking to electrify their fleets or repower legacy equipment.
