Trimble has expanded its Earthworks grade control platform to include select towed and wheeled tractor scrapers, giving contractors new options for automating and improving large-scale earthmoving work.
With this update, scraper operators can use Trimble Earthworks for cutting, loading, hauling, dumping and spreading material evenly to grade. The platform provides real-time blade position and design surface data, helping operators know exactly how much to cut or fill while moving high volumes of dirt efficiently over long distances.
By automating grade control, Trimble Earthworks helps reduce rework, shorten cycle times and lower project costs — key advantages for highway construction, large site preparation, mining reclamation and other bulk earthmoving applications.
The new functionality also allows operators to switch between cut and fill modes with the push of a button, eliminating the need to stop and reload project files.
Trimble Earthworks for towed and wheeled scrapers is available now through the SITECH distribution network and authorized Trimble Technology Outlets.
