Trimble has introduced TMS Order Module, a Transportation Management System (TMS) tool for fleets. TMS Order Module adds a map-based order entry experience to the Trimble TMW.Suite and Trimble Innovative IES truckload carrier Transportation Management Software (TMS) solutions.
Through machine learning and predictive analytics, TMS Order Module optimizes full truckload carriers’ freight network balance in their existing TMS workflow.
The new TMS Order Module is the first in Trimble’s modular transportation management series, with the goal to deliver functionality to Trimble’s current TMS customers in a module-by-module approach. The result allows Trimble customers to update their existing Trimble TMS with AI-driven workflows.
By leveraging Trimble’s commercial map visualization and employing predictive analytics-based tender grading directly within the order workflow, the new TMS Order Module realizes this modular-delivery vision – with network optimization functionality that can be implemented for existing Trimble TMW.Suite and Innovative TMS customers. The solution also features dynamic area balance visualization to balance orders and available drivers, providing TMS users the visibility and actionable data required to optimize network fluctuations as they happen live.

The cloud-based TMS Order Module also includes Trimble Places, Trimble’s database of over five million commercial vehicle-specific locations. With Trimble Places, the TMS Order Module offers location intelligence, including driver dwell times and visualizations of orders, drivers, trucks and trailers with polygonal filtering, which helps enable order workflow to move orders ready for dispatch into Trimble’s carrier customers’ existing TMS.
Other features include customer information such as location, type of freight and whether freight is available for pick up, driver data and the capability to see the locations of drivers, trucks and trailers and when drivers will be ready to attend to their next order and the ability to modify orders and add internal memos and notes to orders as they are fulfilled.
