Vectigo has developed a roadway-embedded technology platform that combines sensors, wireless communications and intelligent lighting to help infrastructure operators monitor road conditions and respond to potential hazards.

The system uses embedded Vectigo PODs, SmartHubs, environmental sensors and a cloud-based data platform to collect information on road and ambient temperature, humidity, vehicle speed, vehicle classification and device status.

The platform combines sensor data with analytics and configurable response systems to identify conditions that may require attention, including potential freezing risks, unusual traffic patterns and roadway obstructions. Depending on deployment, the system can alert operators and activate targeted lighting responses.

The technology also incorporates wireless communications, device-health monitoring and modular components designed to support different infrastructure requirements. Its solar-powered approach can provide deployment flexibility in locations where conventional power infrastructure is difficult or costly to install.

Vectigo's platform is also designed to support future connected and autonomous mobility applications by providing roadway-level data about traffic activity, environmental conditions and potential hazards.
