Nashville, March 2024. Season 2 of No Edge Lines opened on the Music City Center floor with 440 exhibitors, more than 15,800 attendees and a rookie editor trying to figure out where to point the camera first. The answer turned out to be the Wirtgen Group booth, where a Vögele paver we'd named to the Asphalt Contractor Top 30 Products list was sitting there daring anyone to walk past it.
What followed: an Anchorage contractor who barged his equipment to job sites most crews will never see, a guy whose stockpile-measurement video pulled 4 million views in a few days, a paving crew working for the U.S. Air Force, and a software founder making the case that asphalt estimating was overdue for a rebuild.
Watching it back in 2026, the tech conversation is the part that aged the most interesting.
