CA Governor Proposes Vehicle Fee to Fix Crumbling Infrastructure

Annual $65 fee on cars, trucks and motorcycles could raise $2 billion a year toward fixing crumbling roads and bridges

California Governor Jerry Brown has revived a proposed $65 annual fee that would apply to all cars, trucks and motorcycles. The proposed fee could raise nearly $2 billion a year, which the Governor says would be put toward fixing the state's crumbling roads and bridges. If approved, the fee would take effect in 2017.
