The Indiana Finance Authority and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) are taking action to ensure a contractor for I-69 Development Partners promptly pays its construction firms upgrading State Road 37 between Martinsville and Indianapolis.
The IFA issued a notice of non-performance on Tuesday after confirming that at least one construction firm hired by contractor Isolux Corsan was owed reportedly more than $2.3 million.
“The state expects contractors working on this project and all projects to be paid on time,” says Indiana Public Finance Director Dan Huge. “The IFA is taking decisive action to protect taxpayer and motorist interests and hold our developer accountable.”
The IFA issued previous notices of non-performance, and has the right to hold I-69 Development Partners in default of its contract as early as next week.
