Place & Finish Concrete Faster With the Batt Screed Gen II

The Batt Screed Gen II is a modular, multi-application platform that allows contractors to perform both high-production flatwork and curb placement with the same machine, the same crew, and the same power source.

The Batt Screed Gen II (Model 6200) is a battery-powered roller screed built to help concrete crews place and finish concrete faster, with less labor, and without the limitations of cords, fuel, or generators. Powered by a DeWalt FLEXVOLT battery (and now compatible with 9Ah, 12Ah, and 15Ah), the Gen II gives contractors the freedom to screed anywhere while delivering higher performance than the original model it replaces.

The Batt Screed Gen II is a modular, multi-application platform that allows contractors to perform both high-production flatwork and curb placement with the same machine, the same crew, and the same power source. Most battery screeds are limited to flatwork. Most curb machines are dedicated to curb. The Gen II bridges that gap.

With the addition of the Curb Conversion Kit, compatibility with the Lynx Screed System, and a Center Pivot Kit for circular pours, the Batt Screed Gen II adapts to dramatically different jobsite demands without requiring contractors to invest in additional specialized equipment.

This updated version was designed directly from contractor feedback asking for more power, longer runtime, increased durability, and greater jobsite versatility. The Gen II features a reinforced drive mechanism, a higher RPM range (low speed now operating at 400 RPM for smoother, faster screeding), and a heavier, more stable build for consistent performance and longer service life. One fully charged 12Ah battery is capable of screeding approximately 1,800–2,500 square feet.

Beyond performance improvements, what makes the Batt Screed Gen II unique is its ability to serve as a multi-application system. With the addition of a Curb Conversion Kit, contractors can transition from flatwork to curb with the same machine. Compatibility with the Lynx Screed System allows crews to quickly change screed lengths using modular pipe inserts rather than fixed pipe sections, and the Center Pivot Kit enables circular pours such as grain bins and tank foundations. The screed is also compatible with standard 4" SCH40 aluminum pipe, making it easy to integrate into equipment contractors already own.

The machine is engineered with operator comfort and jobsite practicality in mind. A folding and locking handle allows for compact transport, while the pivoting handle with three lock positions, right or left-hand speed control, and one-push directional change make the screed comfortable and intuitive to operate. A heavy-duty kickstand keeps the unit free-standing during pours without catching rebar or formwork, and the steel protective housing shields the battery and drill from moisture, concrete, and impact.

The Batt Screed Gen II solves common jobsite problems: limited access to power, time lost managing cords or generators, equipment that is limited to a single application, and the need for crews to do more with fewer tools. By combining portability, higher performance, and modular adaptability into one system, the Gen II allows contractors to complete a wider range of concrete placements with the same crew and the same machine.
