Genie has launched Genie Recon, a new reconditioning business focused on providing factory-refurbished aerial lifts for equipment owners seeking alternatives to purchasing new machines.
The program operates from a dedicated facility in Springfield, Missouri, where factory-trained technicians recondition used Genie equipment using a standardized process. According to the company, each unit undergoes inspection, functional testing and selected component upgrades using Genie Genuine Parts to align with the company’s manufacturing quality standards.
Reconditioned units are covered by a three-year warranty. The program is intended to extend the service life of equipment while offering fleet owners additional purchasing options.
Initially, Genie Recon is offering reconditioned Genie S-65 and S-85 telescopic boom lifts to customers in North America.
Genie plans to display a reconditioned boom lift at the American Rental Association Show in March.
